About Alison Keane

Alison Keane is the director of Alison Keane Educating in Mindfulness – a Brisbane-based organisation teaching everyday people who’ve never meditated before how to get their ‘zen on’ to beat stress. Alison, herself a sufferer of acute shyness as a child and even in her early days as an ABC television reporter, found meditation and its practical stable mate, mindfulness, soothed her mind and enabled her to get out and achieve more in her life without crippling anxiety. Alison brings an engaging, informative and warm presence to her keynote address and workshops inspired by her study under Dr Kabat-Zinn and as well as her own life experience as an anxiety sufferer, media reporter, company director, therapist, yoga teacher and mother of four adult children.
