Brendon Gale played 244 games of AFL football with the Richmond Football Club from 1990 to 2001.

After retiring from his football career, Brendon Gale practiced law in the banking and finance sector before being appointed CEO of the AFL Players Association in 2005.

In 2009, Brendon Gale was appointed the CEO of the Richmond Football Club, leading a diverse team of over 150 people and handling a budget of approximately $80 million. Under his leadership, the Richmond Football Club headquarters has become an elite high performance facility with the Club recording a revenue growth of approximately 120% since 2010.
