About Liam Twomey

Liam Twomey has faced more adversity in one lifetime than many experience altogether. After being diagnosed with cancer at just seven years old, his right leg was amputated, a moment that would shape the course of his life forever.

Behind the brave face was years of grief, anger and self-destruction as Liam struggled to accept who he was and the life he had been given. But at 21, everything changed. A sliding door moment saved his life. He then found, sport, purpose, and a reason to keep moving forward.

Today, Liam is a Paralympic Triathlete, who inspires audiences with his honest, raw and deeply honest story about resilience, perspective and finding hope through hardship.
