About Mark Williams

With over 30 years of experience in both education and professional sports, Mark Williams is a seasoned AFL coach who has left an indelible mark on Australian football.

Holding a Bachelor of Education with majors in Economics and Physical Education, along with a Diploma of Teaching, he has taught at several esteemed schools before transitioning fully into his passion for football.

Mark's coaching career includes senior roles at Glenelg, Port Adelaide, and Richmond FC, where he played a key role in mentoring and developing players and coaching staff.

Currently, as the Head of Development at Melbourne FC, Mark has been instrumental in the club’s success, helping guide Melbourne to a historic premiership in 2021.

Beyond his club roles, Mark is also a leadership mentor, public speaker, and co-author of books promoting inclusion and diversity within the sport.
