About Professor Richard Hopkins

Richard Hopkins, a seasoned Formula One veteran with nearly three decades in the sport, began his F1 journey at 16 in 1987.

Notably, he served as Head of Operations for Red Bull's F1 Team, instrumental in transforming them into consecutive World Championship winners.

Relocating from the UK to Australia in 2016, Richard now holds the position of Professor of Practice at UNSW Sydney, leading the groundbreaking Sunswift Racing prototype EV project, setting Guinness World Records for long-range electric vehicles.

P-ONE Technology is Richard’s new venture, a Research & Development Automotive Agency that aims is to advance all forms of technology in collaboration with UNSW and industry.

Additionally, he serves as the High Performance Adviser for Walkinshaw Andretti United's Australian Supercar team, nurturing young racing talent through the Foundation Academy.
