Richard Field never set out to become a speaker.

He was an African safari guide, working in the wilds of northern Botswana, until a lion attack at twenty five changed everything.

The incident forced Richard to confront an uncomfortable truth. The danger was not the animal. It was his compromised decision making. That realisation reshaped how he worked, lived and led.

Today, Richard uses his lived experience to explore how fatigue, distraction, complacency and cultural norms influence judgement, helping audiences recognise how everyday decisions shape safety, performance and accountability.
