About Charlie Bezzina

Former homicide detective Charlie Bezzina worked within the Victorian Police force on some of the state’s highest profile criminal cases.

Bezzina was awarded four Commendations at Homicide and Westgate Drug Task Force for Dedication and Commitment to duty; Management and Leadership; Professionalism, Diligence and Initiative and devotion to Duty. He is the recipient of the National Medal, Victoria Police Service Medal and the Blue Ribbon Community Service Medal.

Investigations Bezzina has been involved in include the underworld murder of Alphonse Gangitano, the murder of heart Surgeon Dr Victor Chang, the manslaughter of International cricketer David Hookes, the serial killer Paul Charles Denyer and the suspicious death of sporting media personality Clinton Grybas.

Bezzina also led overseas extraditions from Vietnam and Baltimore USA.

Since retiring from Victoria Police in December 2009, Bezzina has been contracted to establish the Integrity Unit of Investigators for Greyhound Racing Victoria.

He is a Private Investigator, Security and Risk Consultant, media commentator and highly regarded corporate speaker.
