Before Guy Russo took the role of CEO at Kmart, owned by Wesfarmers Ltd, in Australia and New Zealand in 2008, it hadn’t achieved growth in 10 years, and profitability was zero.

Under his leadership, Kmart turned over $600 million in profit by the time he retired a decade later.

Guy also served as CEO of Target while remaining CEO of Kmart.

Formerly with McDonald's Corporation, he was Managing Director and CEO of McDonald's Australia and President of McDonald's Greater China.

Today, he is Chairman of Guzman y Gomez, SomnoMed, and OneSky, and a non-executive Director of Scentre Group.
