About Henry Olonga

Henry Olonga’s life has been anything but ordinary.

From breaking barriers as Zimbabwe’s first Black international cricketer to risking everything by standing against Robert Mugabe’s regime, his story is one of courage, reinvention, and resilience.

A formidable fast bowler with 126 international wickets, Henry’s career took a dramatic turn when he wore a black armband in protest during the 2003 Cricket World Cup.

Forced into exile, he rebuilt his life in music, writing, and broadcasting—winning acclaim for his autobiography Blood, Sweat and Treason.

Now based in Adelaide, he continues to inspire through storytelling, performance, and his unmistakable voice.
