About Sir Angus Houston AK AFC

Air Chief Marshal Sir Angus Houston AK, AFC retired as Chief of the Australian Defence Force in 2011 after 41 years of service.

His experience in the military and skills as a problem solvers sees him in much in demand by governments for his wisdom, judgment, leadership and character.

In July 2014, Angus was appointed as the Prime Minister's Special Envoy to lead Australia's efforts to help recover, identify and repatriate Australians killed in the Malaysia Airlines MH17 crash. He also leads the Joint Agency Coordination Centre coordinating the Australian Government's support for the search into missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370.

Drawing on his long military career and his experience as head of the ADF, his interesting anecdotes captivates audiences.
